About Volt
Volt stands for a united and federal Europe, where everyone has equal opportunities to fulfil their unique potential. We strive to achieve the highest human, environmental, social, and technological development together. We are a pan-European political movement with 300+ elected representatives across Europe, including 5 members of the European Parliament, over 30,000+ members and hundreds of volunteers who work hard to make our vision a reality.
Volt is an inclusive movement that wants to provide space for everyone to thrive. We believe the power of diversity achieves better results for our society at large. We can only be the inclusive political movement we aspire to be, if we represent different voices and perspectives in our society. Your skin colour, gender identity, disabilities, sexual orientation or religious belief do not matter. You are welcome in our organisation, and we want to work together with you to create a better Europe for everyone.
The Role
Your clicks will help us reach thousands. Are you the digital architect we need?
Volt Kosova is looking for a Website Manager to take ownership of our digital home. You will not be writing the content (the Comms team does that) but you will ensure our website looks professional, loads fast, and functions perfectly.
We use Statamic, a modern, flat-file CMS. We need someone who is comfortable working behind the scenes to keep our platform updated. You will work directly with the Communications Co-Leads to ensure our campaigns, events, and blogs are visible to the world.
What You Will Do
You are the gatekeeper of our online presence.
Manage the CMS: You will be responsible for uploading and formatting content on our Statamic-based website. This includes publishing press releases, updating team bios, and posting events.
Publish the Blog: You will handle the technical side of our "Student Op-Ed" initiative, ensuring that articles submitted by members are formatted correctly and look great on mobile and desktop.
Maintenance & Updates: You will ensure the site remains bug-free. You will handle minor layout adjustments and ensure all links and menus are working.
Bilingual Management: You will ensure that the website is perfectly synchronized in both Albanian and English, managing the multi-language settings in the CMS.
SEO Basics: You will ensure that our pages are optimized for search engines (tags, meta descriptions) so people can find Volt Kosova easily.
Who We Are Looking For
We don't need a full-stack developer, but we need someone "tech-savvy" who isn't afraid of a backend interface.
Must-Haves:
CMS Experience: You have experience managing websites using a CMS (like Statamic, WordPress, Webflow, or Kirby). You know your way around a dashboard.
Digital Proficiency: You are comfortable working remotely and can coordinate with the team via text messaging apps and Google Workspace.
Detail Oriented: You notice if a button is misaligned or a link is broken. You care about the user experience.
Language Skills: You are fluent in Albanian and English.
Basic HTML/CSS: You understand the basics of web formatting.
Bonus Points:
Statamic Knowledge: If you have used Statamic before, you are exactly who we need.
Laravel/PHP: Since Statamic is built on Laravel, knowledge of PHP is a massive plus (but not required).
SEO Knowledge: You know how to get a website to rank higher on Google.
