Who Can Contribute?
We welcome submissions from students (Bachelor, Master, PhD), recent graduates, and young professionals. You do not need to be a Volt member to contribute.
We accept insights from all fields, including:
Architecture & Urban Planning | Psychology & Health | Political Science & Law | Economics | Technology & Engineering | Environment | Arts & Culture | Sociology & Education | and other
Types of Articles Accepted
Contributors can choose any of the following formats, provided they maintain a link between Kosovo and European standards/values:
A. Expert Insight: Professional opinions on niche topics (e.g., Sustainable Urban Planning).
B. Comparative Analysis: Comparing Kosovo with European countries (e.g., Mental Health: Kosovo vs. Scandinavia).
C. Storytelling / Personal Journey: Experiences of studying abroad or migration.
D. Policy Proposals: Concrete solutions to local problems (e.g., Improving Public Transport).
E. Research Summaries: Data-driven breakdowns of current issues.
F. Creative Essays: Visionary pieces (e.g., “If Prishtina were a European Capital…”).
Article Structure
To maintain high quality, please structure your article as follows:
Title: Clear, engaging, and specific.
Introduction (150–250 words): Introduce the topic, why it matters to Kosovo, and the European context.
Main Body (600–1,000 words): Use evidence, examples, European comparisons, and clear arguments.
Conclusion (100–200 words): A main takeaway or a vision for the future.
Author Bio: A short 2–3 sentence bio at the end (e.g., "Arta is a 22-year-old architecture student from Prishtina...").
Writing Style & Formatting
Length: 800 – 1,400 words.
Tone: Clear, accessible, neutral, and respectful. Avoid heavy academic jargon.
Formatting: Use subheadings and short paragraphs (3-6 sentences) to make it easy to read.
Zero Tolerance: No hate speech, political attacks, or plagiarism.
Visuals & Images
We encourage authors to provide visuals to accompany their text, as this increases engagement.
If you have images: Please upload them via the submission form. Ensure they are your own photos or royalty-free/copyright-free.
If you do not have images: That is fine. However, please note that our editorial team can not guarantee that we will be able to source specific images for your article. Articles without images may be published with a generic Volt banner.

Submission & Review Process
Step 1 — Submission
Submit your work via this online form.

Step 2 — Editorial Review
Our team will review for structure, accuracy, language, and Volt neutrality guidelines.
Step 3 — Revisions
If accepted, we will return the draft with feedback. Authors usually do 1–2 rounds of edits.
Step 4 — Publication & Rights
First Rights: Volt Kosova requires First Publication Rights. This means the article must appear on our site first.
Republishing: After publication, authors retain the copyright and are free to republish the work on their own LinkedIn, Medium, or portfolio, provided they include a link back to the original post on https://voltkosova.org.
